I have recently started to take AlternaVites and I absolutely love them. A friend of mine has been taking them for awhile now and she highly recommended them. One of the best parts for me is that they are dissolvable and since I have always had problems swallowing vitamins, this worked excellent for me.

It would be a combination of protein, Biotin, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Vitamin C. The reason is b/c biotin is great for hair, skin and nails.

I picked these specific vitamins b/c they are all antioxidant-type vitamins and function to help your skin in various ways.

Vitamin A helps to keep the mucous membrane of your skin strong (thus helping as a barrier against infection and disease) and as a "side effect" this helps keep your skin elastic and healthier looking.

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin that helps to keep various free radicals at bay that affect the fatty cells of your body. Most of the fat cells are very close to the skin and Vitamin E is stored in the fatty cells so this helps to keep the skin elastic and protects against infection and disease.

And I add Vitamin C b/c both Vitamin E and A are greatly benefited from having Vitamin C in the mix as well (complementarity).

Your best bet is to include antioxidant-rich foods and other antioxidant vitamins/supplements in your diet as well. Click the link in the source section to find out more on antioxidants and how your body (and skin) can benefit. Hope this helps.

Healthy looking skin is much more complicated than having the right nutrients. Stress in any form has a major impact.....so does genetics. Nutrients are part of the picture and NeemaF has covered those so i don't really need to talk of those except to say that Vitamins C and E are two key major antioxidant vitamins and are good taken together as vitamin C recycles vitamin E. Also, Vitamin E (and the other fat soluble vitamins: i.e. A, D & K) need to be taken with a meal containing some fat for their absorption....i.e. best alongside a main meal.

Regarding stresses:
Make sure you get enough sleep.
Stay away from major pollutants such as cigarettes and alcohol.
Find ways to de-stress when life does become stressful....such as meditation, prayer, good company, a relaxing bath, etc.

Stresses of all sorts are probably the main culprits that damage ones health in all ways. The stress response takes its toll on the body. Some herbs such as Siberian ginseng or licorice might help in times of major stresses. Don't take licorice if you have high blood pressure however.....not without good monitoring and good blood pressure control and a doctor's supervision really.

Add more herbs to your diet such as rosemary, sage, thyme, lemon balm, oregano and basil....these are antioxidant rich. Add more antioxidant rich berries when in season. Eat a balanced diet. Have a good skin care regime.....cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day, and use a mild exfoliant (e.g muscovado sugar or a proprietary exfoliating wash) when needed (i.e. rough skin or spot prone), and use a sun screen out in strong sun. Drink plenty of water or unsweetened herbal tea to keep your skin well hydrated.

Peace.

FIrst of all the correct DIET is essential, and will serve your ferret better than adding man made vitamins.
Ferrets are Obligate Carnivores this means they CAN NOT DIGEST anything but meat proteins and fats from meat based foods. They CAN NOT DIGEST ANY fruits, veggies, carbs, or sugars, it goes in one end and right out the other with NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE AT ALL! Actually fruits and sugars can actually be VERY HARMFUL as they can cause insolumia (a form of diabetes in ferrets) so NO FRUITS, NO VEGGIES EVER!!!! Nor should you use any food or treat that is based on grains, fruits or carbs as they are not healthy and serve NO nutritional value.
The best diet for a ferret is its natural diet in the wild raw whole prey (mice baby/pinky rats, chicks...) most people have a problem with feeding live raw whole prey to their ferret so you can use frozen, or if it still bothers you use a GOOD ferret kibble like EVO, Zupreeme, 8 in 1 Ultimate crunchy, or the best out their is WYSONG's Archetype 1 or 2 it is a freeze dried raw ferret diet. Your ferret kibble should have at least 4 of the first 5 ingredienst as meat or meat based product if its grains, soy, fruits or veggies or anything else its is CRAP (its like you trying to survive by eating tree bark, no nutritional value)
you should also be supplementing your ferrets diet with real MEAT, chicken, beef, venison, pheasant, turkey...... You can feed it raw (this is NOT bad for them their digestive tract is MADE to eat RAW PREY, think of it like this ..have you ever seen a ferret cooking his meat over a tiny lil BBQ? NO of course not they kill and eat their prey RAW) but some people are wary of this so cook it. DO NOT put ANY spices, or seasonings AT ALL just boil or grill, even fry it but noting but the meat no additives.
Ferret.com is the best ferret supply site I have found they have a 120% price guarantee so if you see it somewhere else for cheaper they will beat it by 20%. Plus they Always run sales or specials for free or very low shipping. They also have a an extensive Forum where ferret owners can ask and answer all sorts of ferret questions, a great resource with TONS of good info and ideas.
As far as vitamins I only use Ferrettone when I clip my ferrets nails (its a great lil trick keeps em busy and no squirming) or as a lil treat. He gets all his vitamins from his very diverse and proper carnivorous diet!

ferret.com or ebay

ferret.com isn't really worth it because you'll have to pay to ship it.

Some stores on ebay have in and they'll ship it for free =D I use ferretvite for my ferrets. I use it as a healthy treat more than a necessary vitamin though.

Who cares if you guys have vitamins and minerals in your damn bottles! The point I want to make is, all the other shit that goes with it, in order to form a damn pill are toxic, carcinogenic, and takes away the true benefits of the intended use. LOOK! You dirty universities, you guys need to make efforts to help the situation instead of making all your graduates regurgitate your damn lies you teach them!

Yesterday I posted a comment where I wrote that Dr. Hughes didn't come off as someone thoroughly familiar with the field on which she is lecturing, and I related it to information I have in the past received from the Life Extension Foundation which I rate as superb when it comes to succinct as well as comprehensive information on nutrition and dietary supplements. As I clicked the Post Comment button, it changed to 'Comment pendig approval'. Obviously it hasn't been approved. I wonder why.
