When you begin taking iron supplements for anemia, how long until your symptoms improve?

I’m cold, tired, and easily winded. My doctor told me I was anemic and had me start taking iron pills. I actually feel better today after taking one pill last night. Is anemia remedied this quickly, or is it more a placebo effect right now?

If your anemia is from low iron, then you really could feel better that quickly. You have more iron in your system now than yesterday at this time.
